Shannon Tiegs launched her commercial real estate career in 1999 after answering a humble three-line ad in the Tacoma News Tribune—a leap that sparked decades of experience in property management, development, and leadership across the Pacific Northwest.
Shannon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a Master’s degree in College Administration. Her early career was shaped by managing historic properties for a Tacoma-based developer, where she played an instrumental role in placing multiple buildings on the Historic Register. She later supported the launch of her husband’s construction business and gained broad experience managing assets for several third-party firms, including roles in corporate real estate. These experiences ultimately inspired Shannon to “do it better,” leading her to found Tiegs Property Services in 2011—a firm committed to personalized, integrity-driven property management.
With a belief that great service begins with a strong internal culture, Shannon has cultivated a team environment that emphasizes shared knowledge, seamless service, and mutual support. Her team’s deep familiarity with each managed property ensures a responsive, personalized experience for every client. Shannon and her team strive to form true partnerships with property owners, earning trust through reliability, insight, and integrity.
An engaged industry leader, Shannon is a past president of BOMA South Puget Sound and of the Pacific Northwest Region. She currently serves on the Board of BOMA Seattle and is the President of the Downtown Tacoma Partnership. She has also served on the Olympia PBIA Board. Under her leadership, the entire Tiegs Property Services team remains actively involved in BOMA, staying connected to best practices and industry innovations.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys life with her husband Rodger, whom she’s been married to for 24 years. They are proud parents of three grown sons and recently became grandparents.
